remember

have
walked
before
thee
in
truth
and
with
a
perfect
heart,
and
have
done
that

thy
sight.

Hezekiah
wept
sore.

it

to

afore
Isaiah
was
gone
out
into

middle
court,
that
the
word

the
LORD
came
to
him,

captain

my

a
light
thing

the
shadow

down

degrees:
nay,

let

shadow

Isaiah

prophet
cried
unto
the
LORD:

he
brought

shadow
ten
degrees
backward,
by
which
it
had
gone
down
in
the
dial
of
Ahaz.

that

Berodachbaladan,
the
son
of
Baladan,
king
of
Babylon,
sent
letters
and
a
present
unto
Hezekiah:
for
he
had
heard
that
Hezekiah
had
been
sick.

Hezekiah
hearkened
unto
them,

shewed
them
all
the
house
of
his
precious
things,
the
silver,
and
the
gold,
and
the
spices,
and
the
precious
ointment,
and
all
the
house
of
his
armour,
and
all
that
was
found
in
his
treasures:
there
was
nothing
in
his
house,
nor

his
dominion,
that
Hezekiah
shewed
them

unto

What
said

men?

whence
came
they

thee?

They
are
come
from
a
far
country,
even
from

figs
together

on

will
get

of
figs
and

sore
place,
and

well.

asked
Isaiah,
"What
will
be
the
sign
that
the
Lord
will
heal
me,
and
that
I
will
go
up
to
the
Temple
of
the
Lord
on
the
third
day?"

Isaiah
said,
"Which
do
you
want?
Should
the
shadow
go
forward
ten
steps
or
go
back
ten
steps?
This
is
the
sign
for
you
from
the
Lord
to
show
that
the
Lord
will
do
what
he
said
he
would
do."

Hezekiah
answered,
"It
is
an
easy
thing
for
the
shadow
to
go
down
ten
steps.
No,
make
the
shadow
go
back
ten
steps."

Then
Isaiah
prayed,
and
the
Lord
made
the
shadow
move
back
ten
steps.
It
went
back
up
the
steps
that
it
had
already
been
on.

At
that
time
Merodach
Baladan
son
of
Baladan
was
king
of
Babylon.
He
sent
letters
and
a
gift
to
Hezekiah
when
he
heard
that
Hezekiah
had
been
sick.

Hezekiah
listened
to
the
messengers
and
then
showed
them
all
the
valuable
things
he
owned.
He
showed
them
the
silver,
the
gold,
the
spices,
the
expensive
perfume,
and
the
building
where
he
stored
the
weapons.
He
showed
them
everything
in
his
treasuries,
in
his
palace,
and
in
his
kingdom.

Isaiah
the
prophet
came
to
king
Hezekiah
and
asked
him,
"What
did
these
men
say?
Where
did
they
come
from?"
Hezekiah
said,
"These
men
came
from
a
faraway
country,
from
Babylon."

said,
"What

they
see
in
your
palace?"
Hezekiah
answered,
"They
saw
everything
I
own.

showed
them
all
my
wealth."

Hezekiah,
"Listen
to
this
message
from
the
Lord.

time
is
coming
when
everything
in
your
palace
and
everything
your
ancestors

saved
until
today

carried
away
to
Babylon.

Lord
said
this.

The
Babylonians
will
take
your
sons,

officers
in
the
palace
of

king

Hezekiah
